Meet Lisa 

Lisa holds a BA in Human Services with over 15 years in the Human Services field; working in several settings. She began her career working with nonprofit agencies, the school system and individuals in the disability field. She eventually found her passion within the Domestic Violence / Sexual Assault field.

She worked as an advocate for nearly 3 years before founding Amani Community Services in Waterloo and Cedar Rapids, in 2014. She is currently the CEO/Executive Director.

 

As a survivor, it is her mission to educate and spread the word to her community where she has lived all her life so people understand the devastating effects it can have.

 

In her spare time, she loves to travel and spend time with her grandchildren.
